Rising digits
In less than 20 years, Mabe’s sales have incremented from 100 million to 2,700 millions USD. Since the beginning of the Mabe’s expansion through the continent sales have risen steadily in Latin America as well as in the United States and Canada. In 1983 the company was selling nearly 2,300 million units. Today there are nearly 13,600 millions of units placed in different markets. In 2006 a total of 3,000 million USD in sales was projected.
The company has a strong presence in each of the markets where it is established in. In Canada it has 17% of the market share with a total of 865,000 units sold in 2005. In the U.S.A. it has achieved a placement of 3,380,000 of units through export sales. The force in Mexico is indisputable with 47% of the market share and 3,380,000 units sold in the past term. In Central America it has 30% of the market share, while in the Andes region Mabe has achieved sales of 1,725,000 units, highlighting the cases of Venezuela and Colombia with a respective market share of 60% and 43%. The Mercosouth region is one of the most promising for the future. Most recent digits show sales have reached 2,555,000 units in spite of the fact that Mabe’s participation in the region is still very recent.
Mabe exports its products to more than 70 countries and has a total of 15 plants and a Technology and Project Center. These digits would not be possible without the support of more than 18,000 collaborators present throughout 12 countries.
